Mount Auburn Cemetery, located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is the first rural or garden cemetery in the United States. It is the burial site of many prominent Boston Brahmins, and is a National Historic Landmark. Join other NAH members and volunteers for a leisurely stroll through Mt. Auburn Cemetery. We’ll take a self-guided tour of notable figures buried at the cemetery as well as enjoy the beautiful plants, flowers, trees, and birds.
We will meet in front of the Visitor’s Center just inside the main entrance off of Mt. Auburn Street at 10:00 AM to begin our tour. Parking IS NOT available in front of the Visitor’s Center. Please park on one of the roads WITHOUT a green line.
