This is the first year that Newton at Home has been chosen to receive a charity bib for the Boston Marathon, and we are thrilled to be partnering with Christian Baglini—a Nurse Practitioner at Mass General Cancer Center in Boston—who will run in the 128th Boston Marathon on behalf of our organization.

Christian seeks to raise $5,000 for Newton at Home, all the proceeds of which will go to supporting our services and programs so that we can continue to grow and meet the needs of Newton’s older residents.

Volunteers and staff from Newton At Home, a nonprofit membership organization, help older Newton residents thrive and stay connected as they age.

Supporting residents who want to age in their homes

We provide handyman services, tech support, errands, grocery shopping.

Offering door-to-door rides—and friendly conversation along the way

Volunteers take members to the airport, stores, medical appointments, etc.

Helping members stay connected to their community

We organize events, outings, dining club, social programs, and more.

Providing guidance on accessing services and vendors

Skilled staff provide information on available public and private options.

Developing supportive relationships with our members

We arrange friendly visits and telephone check-ins to counter isolation.

Partnering with our members’ families

Our staff works with adult children, especially those living far away.

We have a 12-year track record of hands-on impact

• More than 100 current volunteers
