Welcome to Newton at Home
, a non-profit membership organization founded by a small group of Newton residents who wanted to build a community of friendship and support among older Newton residents.

NAH offers a wide variety of vital services and social activities that help its members live safe, active, and connected lives in the places that mean the most to them: their homes and apartments, their neighborhood, and their city.
The Japan Festival Boston is held every Spring on the beautiful Boston Common. These photos were taken about 20 years ago, on a beautiful Spring day. There are craft booths, food booths, workshops, stage performances, a cosplay contest, raffles, silent auctions, and a kids corner.

  • Newton at Home is very pleased to announce its new officers elected at our Annual Meeting. Arthur Glasgow and Alex Vogel will be Co-Presidents. Herb Plovnick continues as Secretary and Pat Wildman as Treasurer. Arthur has been NAH's Vice President and Alex the technology representative on the Board. We especially thank Steve Logowitz who is retiring from the Board after five years as President or Co-President as well as Rachel Kagno and John Adkins who are also leaving the Board. NAH also elected Don Freedman as a new Board member. All other Board members continue in office.
  • Welcome Home collects and distributes household items free of charge to anyone in need.  Newton at Home has happily worked with Welcome Home since its founding.  Many of our members have had the opportunity to donate gently used silverware, kitchen appliances, dishware, blankets, baking dishes, vacuums, and lamps, and more.  Welcome Home is currently in need of blankets and comforters for the fall/winter season.
