Alexandra’s role at Newton at Home includes developing initiatives to grow our organization, building community partnerships, optimizing processes to streamline day-to-day operations, grant-writing, and coordinating service requests between members and volunteers. She previously worked as the Assistant Director of the Center for International Human Rights at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and prior to this she was a senior OSINT analyst and supervisor at the Western Jihadism Project -- a DOD-funded social sciences lab based out of Brandeis University. She has also worked on numerous initiatives in both MA and NY to counter human trafficking. Alex is a proud resident of “the Lake,” where she lives with her partner and their very talkative cat, Beeks. Her hobbies include playing video games, Dungeons & Dragons, reading, practicing martial arts, and watching old movies at the Coolidge Corner Theatre.
