Kennard Park Conservation Area was bequeathed to the City of Newton between 1977-1978 in the will of Mr. Harrison E. Kennard, who loved the varied woods and wetland areas associated with South Meadow Brook. Located in Newton in the area adjacent to Brookline, its 32.28 acres contain marked trails, including those through the woods and wetlands that connect to Brookline's "Lost Pond Reservation" and "Lost Pond Conservation Area. " Access is off of Dudley Road from the paved entrance to the old Kennard Estate and now the Parks, Recreation, and Culture Headquarters, and from the end of Pond Brook Drive. Kennard Park, managed by PRC, is adjacent to this parcel.

We will meet in the parking lot near Kennard Park at 246 Dudley Rd, Newton, MA 02459. You'll see a sign that says "Newton Parks and Recreation" near the entrance.

The terrain may be challenging in some areas -- there are a few steep hills. We ask that all participants remain together as a group. A reminder to have with you water, sunscreen, insect repellent, weather-appropriate layers, and good walking shoes. There is a public restroom at Kennard Park

To register please call the office at 617-795-2560. All members and volunteers are welcome to attend. Member rides requests accepted until July 22.
