About this event
Join Marianne van Arkel-Priest, a senior docent at the MFA Houston for a presentation
comparing a selection of 16th-18th century works to newer, contemporary works. Earlier works
were contemporary, amazing, and revolutionary when they were collected and displayed. While
examining these works of art we’ll be able to create successful and satisfying practices to look
at and understand puzzling contemporary works.
