Writing a New History: Recovering Stories of Slavery and Freedom

In honor of African American History Month, Newton at Home presents this program from Historic Newton, funded by the National Park Service's 400 Years of African American History Commission. It shares exciting new research into the life of Pamela Sparhawk and her enslaved and free contemporaries in 18th century Newton and beyond. The program takes an in-depth look at the life of Pamela, who lived in Newton, both as an enslaved worker and a free woman.
