Everything you ever wanted to know about hearing loss - but didn't know who to ask! Topics will include ear anatomy, how we hear, types of hearing loss, the effects of hearing loss on communication, the effects of untreated hearing loss, and the association of hearing loss with other major health issues such as diabetes. Current technology to improve hearing and communication will also be discussed. This program will be held at the Scandinavian Living Center and is being presented by Melissa Mahaffey, AuD, owner and co director of West Newton Hearing Center.
