Newton at Home provides a rich variety of programs and events for Newton at Home members and their guests. Examples of our programs:

"Top of the Line" talks by local personalities

Theater trips into Boston and suburban theater groups

'Walks and Talks' groups and other health & fitness classes

Docent-guided tours at local museums and distant sites

Local speakers and visiting notables from cultural, academic and political communities

Conversations and affinity groups in member homes and nearby sites

Newton at Home plans to co-sponsors citywide meetings open to the public - focusing on topics of interest to people who wish to remain in Newton and remain active in their community.

The latest research on the positive health benefits of volunteering
Discussions with elected officials and health insurers about initiatives relating to older adults and healthcare reform
The national aging–in–community movement - what's happening across the country and how best practices are being applied to Newton at Home and in other Massachusetts communities
