We are pleased to see that the national media is increasing writing interesting stories about the Village movement. Here are some of the interesting articles we spotted discussing the progress and needs of individual Villages, the different types of Villages, and the progress of the national Village movement.

• The Newton Free Library, in conjunction with an exhibit featuring Newton at Home has put together an excellent bibliography of books and internet resources called Seniors at Home: Resources for Independence for Elders
• In June 2010, the Newton Tab included an Op–Ed column on transportation issues faced by Newton’s seniors – Aging in place: Getting from here to there - by Marian Knapp
• In April 2010, the Newton Tab included an Op–Ed column — Growing Older in the City We Love — by NAH's President, Tamara Bliss, discussing Newton at Home
• In April 2010, the Newton Tab carried an Op–Ed column by Marian Knapp about the meaning of aging in place in Newton and the importance of Newton being on the leading edge of providing services to our residents as we age
• The Boston Globe profiled the Aging in Community (Village) movement in the Boston's western suburbs and highlighted Newton at Home's Tamara Bliss in 2009.
• The New York Times profiled the Grassroots efforts to create Villages in August 2007.
• US News and World Reports reported on the Village movement in February 2010.
