    Announcement — Executive Director
Newton at Home has just begun a search to recruit our first Executive Director. Please read the position description here, and please pass the word to those who would be interested and qualified to serve in this position.

Newton at Home was founded by a group of longtime Newton residents with a common vision: creating an organization that would help them and others continue to live active, vibrant, and connected lives in their current neighborhoods.

Our mission is to enable Newton residents to age at home comfortably, safely, independently, and with peace of mind through a membership-based organization that offers access to comprehensive practical services and fosters social support and a sense of community.

NAH is part of a national movement of “villages” that have sprung up across the country over the last few years. While each village is different, all are focused on providing a rich array of services and programs to help people, as they age, remain in their homes and in their communities.

NAH is currently in the planning stage and is working to open as soon as possible. In the meantime we are actively seeking volunteers to help make Newton at Home a reality. To find out how you can help, click here.

Library Exhibit throughout July on Newton at Home and Aging in Community
Stop by the Newton Free Library and see a new exhibit showing our vision. It is located in the glass case between the main circulation desk and the Reference Room. As part of the exhibit, the library has created a bibliography of books and internet resources called Seniors at Home: Resources for Independence for Elders Click here
